The best projects get better the more you work them. And the worst one get worse. Where will the Eastgate gold project in Nevada rank? And where will this public company KERMODE RESOURCES (TSXV:KLM) rank over time?
Back in January 2020, I joined the Board of Directors of a public company for the first time ever. It was a bumpy ride from then until August 2021 with delays on mission critical activities, like getting a technical report on our new property of merit, and things were not moving in the right direction from my perspective. The more I learned about the history of the deal and watched what was happening, the more concerned I got. Things changed in August 2021 at the annual meeting where new directors were elected and I became CEO. Yesterday, October 27th, was another big day in this ongoing story where I published our first exploration news release.

This map shows the locations of 8 channel samples collected at site. We have ordered fire assays on a rush basis from a lab in Reno. We've also started a LiDAR survey using GeoSLAM at the old mines in the Eastgate group. There's a bunch more content to dig around in the following links.

I've only got one picture from site up so far, but plan to have more soon. That first picture tells an interesting story where someone actually put out claim markers at Eastgate in 2020 to pick up the claims immediately if we let them lapse. My ears perked up immediately when Robert told me about these claim markers, but when I figured out who "NEVADA SELECT ROYALTY INC" was, it gave me a chill. The exploration business in Nevada is high-stakes and people play for keeps.
I don't know what the future holds for KERMODE, but I'm working hard to make something happen.
On the morning of the 27th, someone sent me an email out of the blue to ask for an update. Before running some family errands, I made a selfie video to give them some info. When I made the video, I wasn't expecting to announce the news the same day but then IIROC reminded me that material news should be release immediately and here we are.
The person's email said, "I am reaching out because there seems to be no news and nothing going on with Kermode. What is happening with this company?" My reply was, "Thanks for the email. I've made a video for you here. https://youtu.be/ng16hQQSdCg Yes, it does seem like nothing is going on. I'm sorry about that and it's certainly not how I want to debut in my first time as CEO of a public company. I am working hard behind the scenes to address old problems and build for the future." One news release announcing assays pending doesn't signal a Discovery to Mister Market but it is something. A first step towards something bigger and better.
